“Venice Of The North” – Bruges Magical Christmas Experience

After an early pickup we will make our way to Dover ferry port for our ferry over to Dunkirk. To make your journey more pleasurable, we have included vouchers for lunch. Once on the other side, we continue our way to Bruges stopping en route in a chocolate factory for a taster and some gifts.

Time at leisure to explore the fabulous Christmas Markets in Bruges. The two Christmas Markets in Bruges centre are beautifully decorated and embellished. The sales stalls, with a warm finish, will welcome you with their atmospheric lighting in the typical Winter Glow style. These blissful winter hamlets with their cosy ambiance, packed with knick-knacks, will help you get into the Christmas spirit without any problems. Did you know that each market also has a different character? On the Markt (Market Square) you will find everything you can expect from a traditional Christmas Market and on the Simon Stevinplein (Simon Stevin Square) the emphasis is on short chain and craft products. Once the darkness falls, why not visit the Winter Glow which brings sparkle to the city in an awe-inspiring trail of lights three kilometres long. You will find yourself immersed in a different world at each installation, experiencing moments of emotion and wonder. Why not visit the Christmas Markets again or perhaps visit one of the many museums on offer. You can choose from Chocolate, Beer or Lace Museums just to name a few. Or why not take a horse and carriage ride to really get you into the Christmas spirit.

After breakfast we will head back towards Dunkirk and our ferry across to England, where we retrace our steps and make our way back to Dorset.
