A Luxury Christmas In The Yorkshire Moors

After our pick ups we enjoy a comfortable drive North towards Yorkshire. On route we make regular comforts stops and an extended stop in Chesterfield where you can purchase lunch if desired. We arrive at the hotel late afternoon, with time to settle in before enjoying our evening meal.

Today after breakfast we enjoy a full scenic day excursion exploring some of the fabulous scenery that Yorkshire has become famous for. Our scenic day starts with a visit to Thirsk, a picturesque market town brimming with English charm. Our next stop is Kirbymoorside, a treasure trove for art and antique-hunters, attracting collectors from across the world to its galleries, workshops and showrooms and today it's also market day. Our last stop of the day takes us to Pickering. This picturesque town is steeped in history and brimming with character, offering a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. We return via Kirkham Priory and make a short photo stop here. This evening we have arranged a Quiz for you after dinner.

(CHRISTMAS EVE) Today we enjoy a morning visit to the beautiful sculpture gardens at Thirsk Hall. Discover Thirsk’s secret garden nestled behind the Grade II* listed Thirsk Hall. Explore the 20 acres of garden and parkland which is now the home to Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden and indoor gallery spaces. We return to our hotel just after lunch and enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea buffet with mulled wine and later our Christmas Eve dinner. This evening we have arranged a visit for Midnight Mass at a local church for those that wish to partake.

(CHRISTMAS DAY) After breakfast we enjoy a relaxing day, perhaps enjoy a wander around the grounds of the Hall or a walk in the local area. We include a fabulous festive lunch with a luxury Champagne Reception and include wine with lunch. We are joined by a mystery guest after lunch. This evening we enjoy an evening buffet.

(BOXING DAY) After breakfast we enjoy a gentle drive to Ripon, with a few hours free to explore. This city’s history is entwined with the church, both due to the Cathedral in the city centre and its proximity to the nearby Fountains Abbey. We return to the hotel early afternoon for some free time before enjoying our evening meal and this evenings entertainment.

After breakfast we say our goodbyes and start our journey home, making suitable comfort stops on our return journey.
