Relaxing Christmas in The Lakes

After our pick ups we make our way north towards the lakes with an afternoon stop en route for included tea and cakes. We arrive at our hotel before our evening meal.

After breakfast we join our coach for a wonderful visit to Leighton Hall, a much loved family home and the centre of an agricultural estate since mediaeval times. The hall will look stunning all decked for Christmas! Afterwards we enjoy a wonderful included light lunch with tea and coffee. This afternoon we will visit the award winning Barton Grange Garden Centre, well known for its fabulous Christmas collection. Later we head back to our hotel to relax before enjoying a glass of bubbly and our dinner and evening entertainment.

After breakfast enjoy a relaxing morning exploring the hotel garden before enjoying a light lunch. This afternoon we rejoin our coach and enjoy a drive along the coast to Whitehaven. Built on shipping and mining, both industries have now declined, but Whitehaven is never-the-less an attractive town. We return to our hotel for our evening meal and entertainment. An opportunity to visit a local church for Midnight Mass will be available this evening.

Merry Christmas ! Enjoy a hearty breakfast. A glass of Bucks Fizz will be served with a visit from the man in red! Traditional Christmas luncheon with all the trimmings, will be served from the carvery. Relax in the lounge and enjoy tea/coffee and Christmas cake and see HM the King’s Christmas message. Dinner this evening is a relaxed chilled buffet in the restaurant, then coffee in the lounge, followed by tonight’s entertainment.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast. Perhaps take a relaxing stroll into Grange-Over-Sands along the prom. Be sure to be back at the hotel for a light 2-course lunch though! This afternoon we will offer a short afternoon drive along Lake Windermere to Bowness. We enjoy a little free time here with time to enjoy views of Lake Windermere before returning to the hotel. Dinner tonight will be followed by coffee served in the lounge, followed by entertainment.

After breakfast we start our journey home. We include a stop at a pub for an included lunch en route.
