Bridgwater Illuminated Carnival

Thousands of people every year descended upon this Somerset town on Saturday night to soak up the excitement and atmosphere of the UK’s oldest carnival and one of the Worlds Largest Carnivals.

The bright carts at the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival light up the night as people from across the county, and even as far as the United States, celebrate a centuries old tradition.

We drop off centrally at the Bridgwater College – this only 5 minutes walk to the procession.
