MONDAY
After pickups we will drive east and head to Sussex. We will drive to Sheffield Park station where you can visit the Railway museum before embarking on a single train ride to East Grinstead on
the Bluebell Railway, UK's first preserved standard
gauge passenger railway. Whilst travelling through the Sussex countryside. Later we continue to our well appointed hotel, with time to relax before dinner.
TUESDAY
Today we enjoy a return journey on board the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway to Dungeness. This line is known as ‘Kent’s Mainline in miniature, the world famous one third full size locomotives have powered their way along the 13 1⁄2 miles of track since 1928. A little free time at Dungeness where you can enjoy a pint at the Pilot Inn, use the facilities of the station and take in the surrounding sea views or imposing Nuclear Power Stations before the return journey to our hotel.
WEDNESDAY
Today we enjoy a visit to Great Dixter House and Gardens with some free time before departing to Tenterden. Here you will have time for lunch or visit the Col Stephens Railway Museum. Later board the train on the Kent and East Sussex Railway for a single journey through the unspoilt Rother Valley to Bodiam.
THURSDAY
Why not join us for our optional excursion to Wakehurst. Here you are free to explore more than 500 acres of diverse landscapes including the bog garden and walled gardens with rare and important plants.
Known as "Kew in the country," it features diverse landscapes, including woodlands, meadows, and wetlands, alongside the Millennium Seed Bank—the world’s largest wild plant seed bank. You will have the whole day to enjoy everything on offer. £35
FRIDAY
After breakfast we leave our hotel for the last time. Before we start our journey towards home we make a visit into Royal Tunbridge Wells, a tour to Kent would not be complete without this! After some free time to explore we continue our journey towards home.
