Newquay, The Eden Project & The Lost Gardens Of Heligan

Once we have completed our pick ups we travel to Cornwall and visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, amazingly discovered in 1991 under a blanket of brambles after 70 years of neglect. Lose yourself in the mysterious world of the Lost Gardens with an exotic sub-tropical jungle, atmospheric Victorian pleasure grounds, interactive wildlife project and the finest productive gardens.

Enjoy a full day to relax and enjoy Newquay. Located on Cornwall’s Atlantic Coast, Newquay has previously been voted as “One of the Nation's Favourite Seaside Towns” in the prestigious “Which” Holiday Survey, “Best Family Holiday Destination” by the readers of COAST magazine.

Today we enjoy a full day visit to the World Famous Eden Project, previously a barren landscape – a former clay mine with no soil or plants. They transformed this huge crater into a beautiful global garden which sets the stage for an extraordinary day out where you’ll rediscover the natural world as you've never experienced it before. Explore massive covered Biomes to trek through one of the world’s largest indoor rainforests and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome. The Eden Project is a mind-boggling feat of architecture and biological engineering.

Today we start our journey towards home and sadly retrace our steps leaving Cornwall behind. On our return we stop in Exeter to allow some free time to explore and enjoy lunch if you wish. We return to drop offs mid to late afternoon.

Close to the magnificent Great Western and Tolcarne beaches with their crystal clear sparkling waters, the hotel is just a short stroll away from the seafront, resort’s shopping area and harbour. The hotel features a comfortable lounge, games room, large restaurant and entertainment room with dancefloor, where entertainment can be found most evenings. All the ensuite bedrooms feature hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.
